Using natural raw materials like granite and limestone would be much more expensive. You can consult several different local aggregate suppliers to compare prices, or search on Google for “nearby solid waste demolition sites” to directly inquire about crushed concrete prices.

Natural raw materials, often referred to as high-standard materials, are widely used in various construction scenarios. From an environmental perspective, using recycled aggregates as a substitute also protects our ecological environment.

How to efficiently obtain crushed concrete?

Crushed concrete is obtained through a series of processes including crushing and screening. Commonly available sizes range from 5-150mm. After crushing with a crusher, it is further processed and classified using a screening machine to obtain the following common particle sizes: Fine particles: 0-5mm; Medium particles: 5-20mm; Large particles: 20-40mm.

Common specifications for granite include: 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm, 16-31.5mm, and 20-40mm. Crushed concrete can also be processed to obtain recycled aggregates within these common particle size ranges.

In a construction site, the placement of crushing and screening equipment depends on the scale of the operation:

Small-scale: Portable jaw crushers are used, with a capacity of approximately 50-100 TPH. Many portable mobile crushers on the market are suitable, such as the SUHMAN SE-650D, with a capacity of 50-130 TPH. These use a tracked mobile chassis and can be easily moved after use, eliminating the need for complex installation and relocation procedures.

Medium-scale: Mobile crushers are used, with a capacity of approximately 80-150 TPH. The need for a screening process is determined based on actual requirements. SUHMAN’s crusher configuration can be used as a reference. The specific requirements determine whether fine crushing and screening are needed. If fine crushing is required, a jaw crusher or impact crusher is chosen as the primary crusher, followed by a cone crusher, and then a screening machine. If only mixed recycled aggregate is needed, a single jaw crusher or impact crusher is generally sufficient. It’s important to emphasize that if the solid waste contains a lot of hard metals such as steel bars, a jaw crusher is recommended to reduce the frequency of replacing vulnerable parts.

What is Crushed Concrete?
