Working Principle
SY-HP400 Mobile Cone Crusher is a crawler-mounted, multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher designed for heavy-duty operations. Powered by a robust 315 kW motor, this crusher drives an eccentric sleeve that imparts a gyrating motion to the movable cone within a stationary bowl. Material fed into the crushing chamber is gradually compressed and sheared as the inner cone approaches and recedes from the outer surface, following the laminated crushing method. This efficient inter-particle crushing action yields cubically shaped, uniform end products while limiting over-crushing.
A hydraulically adjustable discharge setting allows precise control over product size. The system includes automatic overload protection: if uncrushable objects enter, hydraulic cylinders instantaneously release the pressure and allow the obstruction to pass, preventing damage and ensuring continuous operation . With durable steel liners, advanced sealing, and an intelligent PLC control interface, the SY‑HP400 delivers stable and low-maintenance performance.
Application
SY-HP400 Mobile Cone Crusher is built for demanding environments requiring both high capacity and quality consistency:
-
Mining and quarrying: Ideal for crushing hard ores like iron, copper, granite, basalt, and limestone. Its heavy-duty design and hydraulic protection systems make it suitable for open-pit operations.
- Aggregate production: Commonly used in road-building, concrete, and asphalt plants, producing consistent, cubical aggregates.
- Construction and industrial materials: Used in facilities like dry-mortar factories and desulfurization plants for producing well-graded processed stone.
Thanks to its efficient crushing cavity, energy-saving hydraulic controls, and reliability, SY‑HP400 has become a favored solution across industries moving toward modernized, sustainable production.

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between a mobile jaw crusher and a mobile cone crusher?
A1: A jaw crusher is used for primary crushing to break large rocks into smaller pieces. A cone crusher is used for secondary or tertiary crushing to further reduce the material size and produce high-quality, cubical-shaped aggregates.
Q2: How often do the wear parts (mantle and concave) need replacement?
A2: The lifespan of wear parts depends on the abrasiveness of the material and operating hours. Typically, with standard operation, mantle and concave parts last between 3 to 6 months. We provide a full set of wear parts with every machine and guarantee long-term supply.
Q3: Is the SY-HP400 suitable for tertiary crushing in mining operations?
A3: Yes. The SY-HP400 is specifically engineered for tertiary crushing of the hardest materials in large-scale mining and quarry operations. With a maximum feed size of 210mm, heavy-duty construction, and 220-280 TPH capacity, it excels at producing fine, cubical-shaped aggregates from pre-crushed hard rock including granite, basalt, and iron ore.
Q4: How do you adjust the discharge size on the SY-HP400?
A4: The SY-HP400 features a hydraulic adjustment system that allows operators to easily change the closed-side setting (CSS) to produce different aggregate sizes without stopping the machine. Combined with hydraulic overload protection, this ensures safe and efficient operation even when uncrushable materials enter the chamber.
